Inspection activities on automatic emission measurement systems (AMS-E)

We carry out inspection activities on automated emission measurement systems (AMS-E) as an accredited inspection body of type A according to STN ISO 17020. The aim of the inspection is an independent and qualified assessment of the conformity/non-conformity of the inspection object (AMS) with

    • the requirements according to legal regulations in the field of air protection, European directives,
    • the requirements of legally valid decisions issued by air protection authorities, SIŽP IPKZ,
    • the technical requirements for continuous monitoring of pollutants,

defined in technical specifications (technical standards) and approved documentation for their operation.

The basis for the inspection is:

    • the results of QAL2 procedure tests according to EN 14181 and other specific standards applied to all monitored parameters

Note: according to chap. 6.1 of EN 14181 – The QAL2 procedure must be carried out for all monitored substances at least every 5 years for each AMS or more frequently if required by legislation or the competent authority; or for all monitored substances affected by any significant change in the operation of the industrial installation (e.g. change of waste gas separation system or change of fuel) or by significant changes or repairs to the AMS that significantly affect the results obtained.

    • the results of the annual periodic tests of the AST procedure according to EN 14181 and other specific standards, applied to all monitored parameters,
    • the results of the calibrations of all monitored parameters (except temperature and pressure),
    • the assessment of compliance with the legal requirements of the conformity inspection and the requirements specified in the decisions of the permitting authorities.
    • Inspection of the data collection and processing system according to the requirements of STN EN 17255.

The most widespread are inspections, tests and calibrations of AMS-E, which monitor the following parameters: CO, NO (NOx), SO2, TZL, NH3, HCl, HF, TOC, state and reference quantities (temperature, humidity, volume flow, oxygen, etc.). We also carry out inspections, tests and calibrations of greenhouse gas parameters: N2O, CO2 and CH4 according to EN 14181 and other specific standards.
