The Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling is the only one of its kind in Slovakia. It offers students involvement in research, internships in industrial companies with promising employment prospects, corporate scholarships, opportunities to study in English, as well as exchange stays at foreign universities.

Since 1 July 2017, the Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling has undergone important and key changes. One of its goals is to reach out to young people and support them in studying technical fields. Questionnaire surveys have shown that parents and friends are significant influencers who affect young people’s decisions when choosing a field of study at university.
